Curriculum, methods, and approach

Broken up between native, and second-language speakers, the FAB offers courses for toddlers through age 12. Classes are offered in Boston and Newton.

Our curriculum created specifically for children with native or near native competency in French, is based on French literature, games and crafts that will enrich students' vocabulary and expand their conversation skills. A reading and writing approach is also part of the curriculum.

For children who are discovering the language, our curriculum focuses on a fun, educational and age appropriate environment through cultural and linguistic immersion. Each session is based on a different theme, with corresponding vocabulary. Games and songs help children discover the pleasure of speaking as well as hearing and understanding a new language. Through a method of Flashcards, they learn to memorize words, recognize and build little sentences. Most of the instruction is given in French.
